My world expanded somewhat when I found out about Paris’s libraries. And all for free. There are even specialist Libraries in different arrondissement – 1er Music, 4eme Fine Arts, Graphic Arts, History of Paris (separate venues), 6eme Cinema and 13eme Women & Feminism.

Access to Paris’s specialised libraries are available to everyone. To enrol is pretty simple (for once). For a library card you must provide identification (a passport or whatnot …), a photo, and this form. For those who would like to borrow their books, you must have proof of residence in Paris.
